TRAINING OF MEMBERS OF THE DEPARTMENT OF AGRONOMY THROUGH ERASMUS+ ACTIVITIES AT THE UNIVERSITY OF CYPRUS

In the framework of Erasmus+ actions, training of Paraskevi Bezas and Ioannis Anastopoulos took place at the Laboratory of Radioanalytical and Environmental Chemistry (Head of Laboratory: Professor Ioannis Paschalides), at the Department of Chemistry of the University of Cyprus.

More specifically, sand grains were coated with humic acids in order to study their effect on the adsorptive capacity of sandy soils. The modified materials produced during the training will be used in degree projects, highlighting the importance of the training opportunities offered by the Erasmus+ programme. Through this experience, not only the scientific training of the staff is enhanced, but also the transfer of valuable knowledge to the students of the Department of Agriculture of the University of Ioannina.

A big thank you to Professor Ioannis Paschalidis for his unconditional hospitality and the love with which he embraced the collaboration.
